Both online and in-person classes have begun. We delve into the ballet repertoire with videos and adapted choreographies for Silver Swans who harken from across Canada, and even down south for the Snow birds in Florida. I’m going down memory lane watching videos of Four Temperaments, choreographed by Balanchine in 1946 for opening night of what was then called the Ballet Society. Later this group became the New York City Ballet. I found an old programme from Dutch National Ballet where I am listed as dancing the first temperament, Melancholy. ** Please note this week only the in-person class on Friday 12 January will be from 2:15-3:30PM, returning to usual 11AM class time the following Friday.**
